In honour of prof Holger Gladys, the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture hosted a seminar Beyond Geographies, made possible by Lada Hršak. Bridging, opening, listening and continuing transnational learning pedagogies and topics developed between Cairo and Amsterdam.

This seminar harnessed transcontinental learning pedagogies during multiple and ongoing crises, and aims to extend the legacy of architect, urbanist, and educator prof. Holger Gladys (1962-2022). 

It featured from the Bureau Gladys team; a keynote lecture by Dr. Dalia Wahdan, and Yomna El Gendy, who reflect on her work with Holger ,through her talk titled “Reflecting on progressive pedagogy in Architecture: Holger Gladys’ teachings explored” and painted a picture of how he always strived to go beyond as an architect, an educator and most importantly as a human.
